No. GOQrgen generates static QR codes — the data is encoded directly into the image. They will work forever as long as the content they point to (like a URL) remains active. We do not host your QR codes, so there is no expiry.
Absolutely not. All QR code generation happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your content is never sent to any server. We have no database of generated codes and cannot access your data.
For print use, we recommend generating at 512px and then scaling up in a vector editor or design tool. For screen use, 256px or 384px is usually more than sufficient for clear scanning.
Yes, as long as there is sufficient contrast between the foreground and background colors. We recommend a contrast ratio of at least 4:1. Avoid very similar shades — for best results, keep the foreground dark and the background light.
QR codes can hold up to approximately 4,296 alphanumeric characters, 7,089 numeric digits, or 2,953 bytes of binary data. Keep in mind that more data means a denser QR code, which may be harder to scan at small sizes.
